Surgery photos of dogs with Dermoid Sinus
This page contains graphic photos of surgery on Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs (both purebred and mixed breed) who were afflicted with the congenital defect of a Dermoid Sinus. Unless otherwise noted, all photographers were taken by and remain the property of Elizabeth Akers.

The white part is the tube and is being pulled up and out to show more clearly the visible dermoid.

A nine-month old mixed breed whose Dermoid had abscessed many times. This was the exit for the Dermoid shown next to a pair of surgical tweezers.

Dermoid with the thickened tube clearly visible.
